With the phenomenal success of her 1998 release (Chi Gharib), Julia Boutros has firmly established herself as the premier songstress of her generation. (Chi Gharib) is her 4th CD collection of extraordinary performances by Julia, joining forces with some of music brightest lights. Clearly, Julia has attracted the full attention of the arabic music world.

Chi Gharib contains several songs that are related to some kind of a situation that julia was going through also people in the arab world or the international community facing every day.

The people who love, suffer, resist or those who are hungry.

There is one song calling upon the international community or the supper power to give us justice and lift the sanctions and give the children a chance to live a normal life, that song is titled (Ya Ayuha Al Kibar)

The songs titled (Al Amal Al Jayi) is about hope It tells the world that we are the future and we are the dream of tomorrow.

Other songs talk about Love and it express some of our feelings towards a clean Love, Chi Gharib & Ala Zaouak & Oua tkoun Neseet.All of the above are composed by Ziad Boutros.

There is also a special song that is composed by Mansour Rahbani and I have specially asked him for it when I was pregnant and I sang it on stage in my concert in Dubai when I was pregnant, It is Called (Tofli Elli Jayi) My expected Child, It talks about the way a mother would like to raise her child and how life is full of poverty and other risks.

One of the most intersteing Songs on this CD is a song which Julia sung for her son Samer, the Song holds the name (Tofli Elli Jayi) which means (my coming son)
